What are your clients saying about you?

We are a society that thrives on technology and sharing information with one another.  However that may not always be positive... Your business is under the spotlight all of the time and there are many people out there trying to destroy your reputation.  With the speed of information traveling over the internet your name can be destroyed over time by negative reviews.  With that being said no one is perfect and a negative review every now and then is ok, however to offset those reviews you want to make sure your always obtaining positive feedback from your happy and satisfied clients.  Websites such as Angies List and Yelp can be extremely beneficial for your new business but also can hurt potential business.  Here are some ways to build your reputation online: Ask for feedback on every project, negative or positive, to gauge how your clients are feeling about the investment they just made.  Not only will this help you build your positive reviews and testimonials it will also give you a gauge as to how you staff is performing from the initial call to project completion. Provide a discount or small gift such as a $ 25 gift card to a store if your clients go onto a review site and provide a review for your company.  The $ 25 investment will payoff tremendously when the next potential client goes onto Angies List and sees how well you treated your last client that they want to give you a shot at there business.  It is easy to not sign onto a site like that so a little incentive will likely get you a response.  Flood your website and review sites with positive testimonials from happy [...]

Responsive Websites

Responsive Web Design: Website Design of the Future Websites today are viewed more and more on mobile devices due to the need for information quickly. When viewing a website on a mobile device that is non-responsive the website is viewed as if it were on a computer screen. This makes viewing the site difficult as the content appears small. Your audience will need to zoom in to be able to read the content and view images. Therefore, websites are being created with a responsive design today so that the site is clear to read on a tablet or phone without the need to zoom in. It will highlight the main content by laying out a clean navigation menu, content and images. Can I make my site responsive if it already exists?  This depends on what type of site you have (i.e. WordPress) and whether or not the theme used is a responsive theme. If it is not responsive we will need to change the theme to a responsive one that can be viewed on mobile devises. Marino Graphics can provide a FREE evaluation of your existing site to see if it is responsive.

Why are websites so important?

On average Google received over 5 billion searches per day and that has drastically increased since the first launch of Google in 1998. As a society we want information fast and we are typically going to the internet to get answers, research products, or find service providers. If your business is not currently on the web, or if you are and the website is lacking what today's sites require to keep people engaged, you could be losing out on a lot of potential business. Most people tend to sift through websites fairly quickly and some studies show an average time on a website to be less than a minute.  It is crucial that your website captures your audience and keeps them on your site in order to have them take action. Some of the key items a website needs to keep people engaged and take action are: Keep it clean and simple, you want to allow your audience to find information easily Connecting your user with information they are looking to find (this means understanding your market and how to attract them) User friendly navigation Relative and easily readable text Clear and multiple contact information areas Tasteful and uncluttered layout No website is perfect, and in fact one of the reasons for this is that websites should be updated constantly to keep the content fresh and new. So creating a "perfect" website and walking away is not an option - you or your web designer should be updating it on a regular basis.  This is primarily done with blogging, testimonials and photo galleries. Marino Graphics is capable of reviewing your existing website and providing expert and creative advice on how we can increase traffic, keep your audience [...]
